📞CALL FOR NY MASK RIGHTS: There’s still time!

Hello Again!

Despite Governor Hochul’s premature announcement of an “agreement”, New York is still without a budget and policy is still very much on the table.  Legislators have passed a budget extender that lasts until Thursday, May 1. Which means there’s still time.

Hochul is hoping that pressure will peter out as headlines suggest this budget is a done deal. Let’s disappoint her and get this dangerous policy out of the budget before it goes to a vote.

It’s down to the wire and we have two requests. Can you, right now or later today:

1. Call your state senator*. 

2. Ask 3 other people to do the same. Give them this link.

Feel free to call your Assemblymember, Senate/Assembly leaders, and Governor Hochul if you have time! But we know the State Senate doesn’t want Hochul’s anti-mask legislation in the budget, and calling them is our first priority. They need to hear that their constituents don’t want masks criminalized, and they can’t cave now. We’re not done fighting, and our numbers are growing.
